Brief Overview of Marwa Soudi

Marwa Soudi has more than 13 years of experience in serving disadvantaged groups in education and inspiring girls and women. She is a co-founder of the Women in Engineering affinity group in Egypt, an annual speaker in Digi-Girlz day by Microsoft Egypt, a speaker in She Made IT Alexandria 2018, and other women in technology events. In February 2018 she won the “ICT for Woman” first-place award for co-founding Ideas Gym e-learning platform and for Ideas Gym achievements, the award was presented by the Ministry of Communication in cooperation with UNDP and Telecom Egypt. She is currently the Technology Capacity Building Manager in Ideas Gym and managing four Ideas Gym innovation labs in cooperation with Universities and Tech-Parks in Egypt. She was nominated for the Tony Elemelu grant for entrepreneurship in Africa in 2018. She hold a BSc and MSc in Electronics and Communications from Alexandria University and MA in Educational Technology from the University of Tartu, Estonia with a focus on the role of tinkering and making in educational technology. She is a judge in Reimagine Education since 2019, SilberSalz Science & Media Awards 2021 Jury Member, Sciethon 2020 Mentor & Co-founder of Tartu EdTech Community and EdTest Estonia.
