Brief Overview of Darja Tokranova

 

Darja is a multidisciplinary professional based in Tallinn. During her career, she wore multiple hats of a graphic designer at one of the biggest Moscow, a freelance illustrator, an entrepreneur, a UI/UX designer, and an independent researcher.
Darja got her Cum Laude Master Degree in Human-Computer Interaction in 2014 and after working in the financial domain of the IT industry for some years, she returned to academia to pursue a dream of becoming a Ph.D.
Darja is very enthusiastic about teaching. For many years she has been a contract lecturer in the Estonian Academy of Arts and Tallinn University, including Tallinn and Winter Schools, and hosting domestic and international workshops on Interaction Design topics.

Research Interests

Aesthetics evaluation in User Interface (UI), User Experience (UX), Creative sector of Estonia and its relationship with Social Media, Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs), Value Sensitive Design and Ethics in Fintech.
